TEACHERS!
Seriously. They deserve so much more respect than what they get.
Today, we had the sixth graders come in to kind of learn by observation about what we do on The Cougar Chronicle. They followed us around, and my section had two great kids. Alex was nice and she was really interested in what we do because she's already involved with their Olive Newsletter. And then there was Haley Sheedy. Who I totally love because she's such a great kid. And we totally changed her mind about newspapers.
Anyways, after the reporters (and Toni and Sami) left, the rest of the editors plus Dillian stayed after to teach the kids different elements of a newspaper. The kids broke off into little groups and went to each of our little stations we had set up.
If I ever have to do anything dealing with Plagiarism again, it will be too soon.
I think I freaked one of the girls (who I found out is my little sister's friend...Opps!) when I showed her a local article about that cat who got shot with an arrow and had the arrow stuck in it's neck. Before you guys freak out, don't worry. The cat's alive and well.]
But I was already tired because in Physics, the guys and I finally got rid of our Rube Goldberg project. However, we then had to clean our area up and while they went to get a mop, which, apparently takes 40 minutes, I was left to clean the rest.
Oh, I cannot wait until we get new groups. I'm so hoping I can be with Mike (Kyrie's Mike) and/or Aubrey.
I want to take a nap. However, I have to go the music-ILKKA! He sang for us while all the little kids (man does that feel weird) were there. And, OMG is his voice awesome. I believe that all the girls in my school are going to miss his accent more than anything else. It's so awesome and like Lanna said, "we just love to hear him talk."
Oh, and I don't remember who asked, but this is Alex:
